The Company is declaring a surplus under the provisions of Article G25 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Company will offer the provisions of an Enhanced Income Protection Plan (EIPP) to regular employees in the surplus job titles at the work locations involved. EIPP offers will be distributed to the affected employees by June 2, 2014. An employee’s election to accept the offer must be in writing and transmitted to the Company within fifteen days from the date of the offer. The decision is irrevocable after such fifteen-day period which is (June 16, 2014). The off property date for those accepted volunteers will be June 28, 2014.

There is a total of 381 surplus in New England in 15 job titles. In Local 2325 there is a total surplus of 63. The surplus titles and locations for this Local are as follows:


2 in Foxboro


2 in Ayer

5 in Boylston

3 in Foxboro

14 In Framingham

8 in Lunenburg

10 in Medway

5 in Templeton and 14 in Worcester

The New England Work and Family Committee is  proud to continue all of its programs for our IBEW members. Enrollment is currently taking place in the month of May for the dependent care reimbursement fund. This fund assists members in their daily child care costs. Depending upon your situation reimbursement of up to $20 a day could be afforded to you. To find out more on this fund and to print all necessary documents for enrollment go to The committee is also excited to once again offer Summer Camp reimbursement for dependents of IBEW members. Any dependent that goes to an approved Summer Camp could yield a reimbursement of up to $200 per week for a maximum of 4 weeks. The camp timeframe is June 22nd to August 30th and is available for children ages 5-17. This information and documents can also be found on the Work and Family website. These are all great programs that are free of charge and assist our members with difficult financial costs. The money used in this fund is bargained for during contract negotiations. This is a benefit that we fight for each bargaining year so take advantage of it.

IBEW Local 2325 will once again host its annual golf outing on Sunday June 22nd at 1 pm at Holden Hills Golf Course. The price is $100 per person and includes golf, steak dinner and prizes. This event is a great time each and every year and brings members together from throughout the Local. Please call the Union office to register. You do not have to have a foursome to play. Everyone is welcome, we will get you on a team. The outing is filling up so register soon.
