The results of the 2024 Local elections are final and the results are as follows:
The Local had 190 ballots returned.
President: Uncontested Jeremiah Poirier 160 votes for.
Vice President: Uncontested Joe Zahn 160 votes for.
Recording Secretary: Uncontested Dawn Nelligan-Rosa 166 votes for.
Business Manager: Contested Jamie Gniadek 122 votes for.
Kris Edwards 64 votes for.

Jamie Gniadek will retain his position as Business Manager.
Treasurer: Uncontested Andrew Jensen 162 vote for.
North Unit Chair: Uncontested Edward Giancaterino 159 votes for.
Central/South Chair: Uncontested John McGonagle 154 votes for.
At Large: Keith Herrick 157 votes for.
Keith Philbrook 136 votes for.
Rebecca Ryan 138 votes for.

Congratulations to everyone who ran, this Union Hall would not operate the way it does without the leadership shown by the Executive Board.

A big thank you to Colin Plante and Heather Parker for their tireless work making sure the election was done correctly, and ran without a hitch. Heather has been a part of our election process for the last 21 years and her service to this union has been invaluable. Also, a special thank you to our Office manager Jill McMillan for all of the behind-the-scenes preparation throughout the entire process.
I’d also like to thank our tellers, Tom Rice, Ron Defusco, Dana Fellecetti, Don Hache, Matt McGrail and Marc Stepian for their work on counting the ballots and our friends at Local 96 for hosting us.

Lastly, I’d like to thank our membership who took the time to vote, every vote matters, as does every election, thank you all for being part of the process, and thank you for having the faith in me to lead our union for the next three years. I am truly humbled by your support and faith in me to do so.

All proof of payments for the Health and Welfare programs for the New England Work and Family need to be in by the end of the month to get your reimbursement. Don’t procrastinate, get the documentation’s in, any information you need can be found on our website. 

Unit meetings this month for the South/Central are June 12th, 5pm at the Franklin Elks 1077 pond St. Franklin. The North Unit meeting will be held on the 13th at 5pm here at the Union Hall.
